SciGuide is an electronic directory of foreign and Russian open access scientific resources on the Internet. The aim of the directory is to assist users to locate open access academic and scholarly content and to facilitate science communication for researchers and experts of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS). The directory is being developed jointly by the Branch and the Department of Collection Development and Acquisitions of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of SB RAS.



*Chronicling America. Historic Anerican Newspapers (chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/)*A website providing access to information about historic newspapers and select digitized newspaper pages, and is produced by the National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP). NDNP, a partnership between the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the Library of Congress (LC), is a long-term effort to develop an Internet-based, searchable database of U.S. newspapers with descriptive information and select digitization of historic pages.
*Historishe Kranten (kranten.kb.nl)* A database of digital daily newspapers of the Netherlands.
*ICON newspaper database (icon.crl.edu/database.php)* ICON (International Coalition on Newspaper) is the most comprehensive source of information about significant newspaper collections in print, digital and micro formats. The large and growing database is designed to inform library decisions on the development, management and preservation of newspaper collections.
*International Newspapers Online (guides.library.upenn.edu/)*A project of the University of Pennsylvania that concontains references to digitized American newspapers since 1802 (libraries and universities).
*Librarium.fr (old.librarium.fr/ru/magazines)*An archive of illustrated publications of Russian emigration dated between World Wars I and II.
*National Library of Australia (trove.nla.gov.au)*A portal of the National Library of Australia that features scanned Australian newspapers.
*Small Town Newspaper (www.smalltownpapers.com)*A newspaper directory featuring small town newspapers and articles. The scanned newspaper archive from 1865 up to the current edition.
*Vozrozhdenie (diglib4.princeton.edu)*Archive of the Russian emigré newspaper, part of the Historical Periodicals project. This site contains a collection of historic periodicals, digitized from the Princeton University's collections.
*Wikipedia:List of online newspaper archives (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_online_newspaper_archives)*A list of online newspaper archives and some magazines and journals, including both free and pay wall blocked digital archives.
*XooxleAnswers (xooxleanswers.com)*Newspaper archives of 17-21 century from Asia, America, and Europe.
